architecture, rice mills and steam engines

A discussion with a steam engine historian based in china rewarded me the locations of some rice mills in the countryside of thailand that use antique steam engines (i promised not to publish the locations anywhere public). I mentioned this during new years dinner with some friends in bangkok, where I met an architect who has done some really beautiful residential work. After seeing each others work we made arrangements for me to photograph his work, and for him to take me out to find these operational rice mills and photograph them. sounds like a deal. I may be pushing my flight to new york back a bit to get all of this done. sounds like a good idea…
